Since building a new school building in Cambodia in 2005, KDDI Foundation has provided ongoing educational support in developing countries such as Cambodia, Myanmar and Nepal by constructing new primary and secondary school buildings (KDDI School) and providing PC and English classes (extracurricular classes).
Currently, there are 13 KDDI schools in Cambodia, which are undergoing sequential repair work as their school buildings age. This fiscal year, three schools (Phnom Touch Primary School, Sre Preah Secondary School, and Chop Secondary School) were repaired.
The children continue to learn happily and energetically in the renovated school buildings, which have been well received by the teachers.
This fall, we visited these three schools to participate in the repair and handover ceremony, presenting the children with stationery and sports equipment and handing each child graduating from the PC and English classes a certificate of completion.
