【Overseas Project Report】Presenting the project results at ADF-21

At the 21st APT Telecommunication/ICT Development Forum (ADF-21*) held in Jakarta, Indonesia from August 6th to 8th, 2024. Our foundation staff presented the outcomes of two APT projects.
*ADF:An annual forum where APT members present the results of their projects.


1. Enhancing the development of telecommunications and internet network dimension and testing systems in service of quality assurance and security

The first project focused on the development of a testing system for ensuring internet communication quality and security in Laos. The results of this project are being utilized at the Quality Inspection Center (QIC) for Internet and Telecommunication Service in Laos, with plans to further improve communication quality by introducing a mobile application.

2.Smart system, using AI action recognition technology, to help hearing-impaired people to learn sign language by themselves.

The second project involved the development of a prototype “Sign Language Learning System” using image recognition technology in Vietnam, aiming to provide equal learning opportunities for the hearing-impaired. During the Q&A session at the presentation, specific questions about the sign language learning system were raised by attendees from Indonesia and the Philippines, indicating the potential success and widespread use of the system in the future.
