Received a letter of appreciation from the Minister of Digital Development and Communications of Mongolia

On September 20, 2022, the KDDI Foundation was awarded a letter of appreciation by Mr. Uchral Nyam-Osor, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of Mongolia.

The KDDI Foundation has been promoting a project to bridge the digital divide using ICT in Mongolia.
The project has been implemented since 2019 as one of the international cooperation projects of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunications Community (APT) supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, and was recognized for its contribution to the local community through an optical fiber network.
We selected three areas in Mongolia that are located in extremely cold regions and desert areas, harsh natural environments, with no broadband access networks, and then constructed regional networks using optical fiber and simple construction methods which are internationally standardized.
This optical fiber has durability in extreme cold regions and desert regions, and is used in fields such as government, medicine, education, and tourism.
