From November 1st to 5th, a research team from Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Technology University (PTIT) visited Japan to study the latest Japanese technology and exchange knowledge.
This project was carried out as part of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunications Community (APT)’s project called “Research on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology using GPS, electronic maps, and image processing technology for the purpose of understanding road damage after flash floods”. Within the restrictions on travel due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have held quite a few online meetings and have already completed a prototype system, and we have finally been able to complete the visit survey, which had been postponed for two years.
During their visit to Japan, they exchanged opinions with the experts involved in each research destination and received explanations of examples of drone use in Japan. The technical research was extremely meaningful for the research team, and they studied that each program was very helpful after returning home. We received a report that it was effective.
The team’s visit to Japan was a meaningful opportunity that made it possible to further develop the good relationship not only between the KDDI Group, but also between Vietnam and Japan.
